Objectives

• To activate "research networking" among the IAPRI members.
• To create a working group responsible for the promotion of research networking opportunities inside IAPRI.
• To detect collaboration interest and needs inside IAPRI members and to activate them as real projects (short, medium and long term)
• To find international funds to develop fundamental packaging research (European Union, EEUU, etc) in cooperation.
• To promote the “global packaging technology platform” inside IAPRI as the EU Technology Platforms (for more information see the web site http://cordis.europa.eu/technology-platforms/home_en.html)

Activities

• Research collaboration interest detection inside IAPRI Members (Tools for that: IAPRI website, collaboration profile sheet, research workshops, etc.)
• Continuous detection and information to members about opportunities for collaboration and funding.
• Support collaboration initiatives design and starting them.
• Packaging Technology Knowledge – Map development inside IAPRI by continent and excellence area. Detection of knowledge weakness and strength.
• Definition of Strategic Research Lines in Packaging Technology for medium and long-term. Provide this information to Public Authorities – Governments at different countries – continents, in order to have influence on the financing research work programs (i.e. VII EU Research Framework Program)
• Develop relations with international entities for funding
